IH Valladolid has grown rapidly in size and reputation since it was founded in 1997 by William B. Ott. The tremendous success has been the direct result of a conciencious effort to assure that every aspect of the school provides a rich cultural and educational experience for each student. The students rave about the school: the teachers, the teaching method, the social program, etc.

There are currently two IH Valladolid schools. The centre Spanish language teaching branch is located in the Main Square of the city and the English School located in the main square of the safe new suburb, Parquesol.

Between the two schools there is a total of 15 classrooms and social areas, self-accces resources and computers for Internet use. But our best resources are the teachers. IH Valladolid employs highly qualified, experienced professionals. All of the teachers attend weekly seminars to share knowledge, experience and techniques, as well as keeping up to date with the latest pedagogical developments in our profession.

Our teaching methods are focused on communication. This hands-on, interactive and personalised approach ensures that you will understand and speak Spanish from the very first day. Our method places special emphasis on the development of language skills in the form of oral and written communication, while continuing to pay attention to the theoretical aspects of the Spanish language. Our final aim is for you, the student, to speak Spanish both fluently and correctly.

In the past few years, thanks to the work of the entire staff, we have achieved the status of an Accredited Centre by the Instituto Cervantes. We also belong to international organizations such as Eaquals and International House World which accredit our quality in Spanish language teaching.

- General intensive Courses: 4 hours of Spanish language from Monday to Friday

- DELE Preparation Courses for closed groups: 4 hours from Monday to Friday

- DELE Preparation Courses- One to one Classes

- The International House Certificate in Teacher Training for Spanish Teachers: 120 course hours consisting of 60 hours of theory and 60 hours of hands-on practice divided in four weeks.

- High School Program for closed groups.

- One to one Classes

- General Intensive Courses offered from both our IH Valladolid and Santander schools.
