The first goal of the Escuela International is for each student to learn to express themselves in Spanish in any situation. Individualised attention, in small groups of ten students at most, will help the students make rapid linguistic progress. The teachers use the communicative method, with practical activities and exercises, intended to develop the oral and written skills of the students and based on real day-to-day situations.

E.I. Alcalá offers students everything they need for an unforgettable experience while learning to speak the Spanish language. Alcalá de Henares, located very close to the Barajas International Airport and not far from Madrid, was recently named “World Heritage City” by the UNESCO. It offers a peaceful atmosphere for study and an easy and relaxed immersion into the Spanish culture.

The School has eight classrooms equipped with airconditioning and heating, a secretary’s office, a reception area and a library with several computers connected to Internet. In the same building, on the upper floors, there is a residence for students and a cafeteria.

The students have the choice of living with a Spanish family or sharing an apartment with international students. All the lodging options guarantee comfortable accommodations which will make it possible for the students to concentrate on their language studies.

The Programme of Cultural Activities and Excursions is the ideal complement to their studies. It makes it possible to experience the full cultural diversity of Alcalá de Henares. Week-ends offer the opportunity to discover the beauty and culture of Spain through the excursions made to the nearby places of historic interest.

These activities and excursions are included in the price of the \"Summer Courses\". Alcalá has good train and bus communications, so that they students can travel on their own during the week-end and visit places of interest, monuments and museums in Alcalá de Henares and in Madrid, as well as attend concerts and theatre performances.
