Founded in 1989, IEMA offers intensive Spanish classes to small groups (maximum 8 students), courses of Spanish culture and private classes. IEMA’s quality teaching is backed by several Quality Certificates, including accreditation from the Instituto Cervantes and it is an official examination centre for the Diploma Internacional
de Español (DIE).

IEMA also offers a large variety of cultural courses and leisure time activities, special programmes for adults and children, as well as courses for non-native Spanish teachers. IEMA offers several possibilities for accommodation, transfers to and from the airport, excursions... etc.

The School is housed in a historical 14th century building, “La Posada de la Estrella”, with a pleasant and rustic atmosphere. Located in the historic centre of Ávila, it has been declared a “World Heritage City” by the UNESCO.
