Founded in 1973, in Salamanca, it is an academic entity with a highly qualified university graduate teaching staff, whose main goal is the teaching of the Spanish Language and Culture to foreign students. The Colegio de España is a member of the FEDELE, of the AITIPE (Asociación Internacional de Traductores, Intérpretes y Profesores de Español– International Association of Spanish Translators, Interpreters and Teachers) and of the ACL.
Recently, the Colegio de España in Salamanca has received the Seal of Quality for Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language (CEELE) for the second time, granted by the University of Alcalá de Henares.
