We have been devoted exclusively since 1986 to teaching Spanish as a foreign language to students from all over the world. We feel that teaching a language does not take place just in the classroom, but also within a much broader context of social exchange and interaction. Cervantes E.I. is a teaching centre inside and outside of the classroom, with social and cultural activities, excursions and exchanges with Spaniards. This means that Cervantes E. I is a recognised centre and that many of our students return to our school year after year. This recognition is officially backed by the University of Alcalá de Henares, which has granted us its CEELE Quality Certificate, following biennial inspections.
Cervantes E.I. is located just two minutes from the beach and ten minutes by bus from the historic centre of town.
Málaga is a bright, sunny, cheerful city, surrounded by beautiful beaches and spectacular mountains.
We offer our students the following additional services: An internet room • A library, with a large and highly diversified collection of books on literature, art, history, etc.
• A video room • Exchanges between our students and Spanish language students • Tutoring after class for those students who need it.
Interactive method: Our extensive professional experience has allowed us to develop a system in which the method for communication is combined with a structured grammar integrated within the communication. Our courses, which are organised at eight different levels, concentrate on the four skills for learning a foreign language: auditory comprehension, written comprehension and oral and written expression.

SPECIALISED COURSES:

• Preparation for the DELE examination: 25 lessons/week.

• Spanish for Lawyers: 15 or 35 lessons/week.

• Standard Plus - Spanish for lawyers: 35 lessons/week.

• Spanish Plus - Tourism: 25 lessons/week.

• Courses for young people (13-17): 25 lessons/week.

• Golden Age Course (50+): 20 lessons/week.

• Spanish + Flamenco: 30 lessons/week.

• Hispanic Studies: 25 lessons/week.

• Courses for teachers: 25 lessons/week.

• Courses for groups: (upon demand).

• Private classes: (upon demand).

The Centre offers accommodations with carefully selected Spanish families, in apartments with other students, residence of the school, in private apartments, or in hotels and hostels. All the accommodations are located near the school and the beach.

programme of activities

As a complement to the classes and in order to help the students get to know their fellow classmates, the city and life in Spain, Cervantes E.I. offers a special programme of Activities which takes place both inside and outside the school. Teachers from the school will always accompany the students during these activities. Every week-end, the student has the opportunity of getting to know other cities of major tourist, historic or monumental interest: A welcome and farewell cocktail party at the beginning and end of each course • The possibility of meeting other students • Everyday activities • Excursions every weekend to other nearby cities (Granada, Sevilla, Córdoba, Ronda, Antequera and the typical White Towns of Andalusia).
