FEDELE Quality Charter

 

The FEDELE member schools accept and sign the following Document:

 

Legal standing

 

They are constituted according to Spanish legislation regarding teaching centres and their activities will be carried out as such..

They comply with national, autonomic and local legal codes.

They are subject to the trade agreement of non regulated teaching.

 

Teaching Quality

 

They give out quality teaching, guaranteeing the following:

  • The differentiation of courses.
  • Length and scheduling of the courses given.
  • Number of hours given.
  • Coherent and suitable structuring of the courses: levels, objectives, contents and methodology in accordance with pupils' needs.
  • Program of courses and description of the contents available to teachers and students.
  • Native teaching staff with suitable qualification, preparation and experience for carrying out  their duties.
  • Planning and development of the classes in accordance with the teaching program.
  • Efficient system of classification of pupils by levels at the beginning of the study program.
  • Reduced groups. The maximum number of students per group should correspond to the number advertised by the school.
  • Individualised counselling for pupils about the direction of the studies and learning strategies if the student asks for it or needs it.
  • Programs of social, cultural, sports and other leisure-time activities.
  • Equipment and premises adapted to the  teaching being done.
  • Appropriate equipment to allow for quality teaching: suitable blackboards, sound equipment, video equipment, etc.
  • Appropriate system of evaluation of the acquired knowledge within the schools, with the option of taking an aptitude exam.
  • Correct issuing of diplomas and certificates.
  • Material available for students' use.
  • A library, as well as audio and video cassettes readily available to the students. 

 

The FEDELE schools have all of these academic aspects endorsed by a quality stamp, either CEELE (Qualified by the University of Alcalá) or Cervantes (Accredited by Cervantes Institute).

 

Quality in the services

 

Student treatment

 

  • The student will be given the best possible treatment, paying attention to their claims and complaints, with efficient answers   to their petitions for information.
  • The student has the right to be received by the director of the school and the school will establish adequate mechanisms to that aim.

 

Accomodation

 

  • Student accommodation will be arranged in the case of the schools which include this offer.
  • All types of accommodation must comply with the minimum comfort standards as advertised by the schools.
  • Establish a regular control of housing to ensure healthy conditions.
  • Stipulate the modalities of booking, prices, services included, conditions of payment and cancellation.
  • Offer ways of solving the possible problems that arise keeping a record of them as well as of their solution.
  • Send information to the student previous to his/her arrival about accommodation and instructions on how to get to the lodging.

 

Activities

 

  • Students will be informed of the complementary cultural, recreational and
  • sports activities, indicating whether they are free or at extra cost.
  • All of the activities organised by the schools should be based on the curricular program of the centre.

 

General Information

 

  • They will receive the rules and booking  conditions of  the course and ccommodation previous to their arrival.
  • These will be stated on the students decalogue and on the FEDELE quality letter. The student will be informed about the ways of filing complaints and having them recorded. 

 

Reliability of the Publicity

 

The publicity must be a faithful reflection of the school and the services it offers, prices, timetables, etc.

Mention should be made of the quality stamps to which it is subject and of the Quality Document as well.

 

Inspection and Accreditations

 

The FEDELE member schools pass a periodic inspection to verify all aspects related to this Quality Guarantee.

 

Complaints Register

 

All schools will have a complaints register or problems record, as well as their solution.

These records are of essential interest for controls on the part of the Student Defender

 

Student defender

 

  • Any unattended complaints may be presented to the Student Defender for their consideration and resolution.
  • The Student Defender will be formed by a committee of 3 FEDELE schools depending on the case, the accused school will be excluded.
  • It is the school's obligation to give out the complaints sheets as well as the way of contacting with the Student Defender.
  • For each case, a duly filled-in complaints sheet must be presented, signed both by the pupil and the school.
  • There is a 2 to 4 week resolution period after which the resolution will be sent to the student, whether he still be in Spain or in his own country.
